Transboundary transport of absestos waste

SUK acting on the current environmental problems, provides services such as Hazardous and toxic waste management: Asbestos & Transformers containing PCB’s, Clophen & Askarel, as well as the design and management of petroleum residues.

The department of SUK for the “management of hazardous waste” consists of professional staff with many years of expertise in environmental issues. The department specifically focuses on issues related to management of waste characterized as “hazardous” under the Community legislation.

Below the stages of waste management are briefly analyzed from their identification to their final disposal:

• Identification with reference to the type(s) and quantity(ies).
• Sample collection and chemical analysis. Assessment of sample results and work plan preparation.
• Treatment (modification of the properties of the waste) and repacking (transfusion) in UN certified packaging.
• Cleaning and restoration of the polluted area.
• UN specification waste labelling.
• Loading, Stacking as well as fixing of the packaged waste.
• Preparation for transfer and issuing of consignment/delivery note from the producer to certify that SUK is solely responsible for the further management of the waste.

• Issuing of the Hazardous Waste Management Permits.
• Handling and organization of national and cross-border shipments according to ADR/IMDG regulations
• After final disposal, issuing of the certificate (Certificate of Disposal) by the competent and licensed establishments.
